Whixall Floods - Glossy Ibis

The floods continued to cement a reputation for dropping a rare / unusual bird with Reevesy finding a Glossy Ibis this morning - nice one mate!

Whilst I knew this would be a distant job and with no vantage point possible from the canal towpath, I had to be content with record shots once more (slightly better than the VP bird in near darkness!)

Yep, at least 150-200m away!

When a lapwing flushed it, at least with wings spread, the apparent sizee was increased!

It's still a cracking bird for Shropshire - only the third twitchable record?

I wonder what Autumn surprises will be in store here?
