Skomer - not just Puffins!

Here's a motley assortment of some of the other birds and wildlife encountered on / near Skomer!

Firstly the Jellies! Can't say I've ever photographed one before and they looked so surreal in the clear water from the landing steps! So for the first time here - Compass Jellyfish!

They really did seem to be in control of 'where are we going'!

Keep your head down little fella, there's quite a few birds on the look out for Skomer Vole too!

And summer wouldn't be summer without Ragwort being defoliated by Cinnabar Moth caterpillars!

Here's the culprit!

Razorbills on the cliffs. Plenty of other birds here too: Fulmar, Kittiwake, Gulls, Guillemot, Raven..

The Puffin welcome or should I say gauntlet provided by various Gulls including these Lesser Black-backed Gulls....

And looking as mean as they come Great Black-backed Gulls!

And amongst the insect life - this gorgeous male Broad-bodied Chaser!

A cracking day with many a mile walked!!
