Scilly day 10 - Little Buntings

After the flyover Little Bunting from yesterday, even better was to come with two showing well albeit distant at the standing stones field Lower Moors. Given the distance I nearly didn't point the camera but glad I did as record shots of any good bird are always worth the effort.

Other birds here included trip ticks: Reed Bunting, Redwing  and Yellow Wagtail over. Spotted Flycatcher too.

The Short-toed Lark was still at the airfield.....

Female Merlin and Skylark on Porthellick Down were the only birds of note as Martin Grant and I searched in vain for the 'confiding' Little Bunting in the small cove by the old quarry.

With news breaking of a Red-flanked Bluetail on St Agnes, I think I know where I'll be going tomorrow!!
