One or two waders are starting to drop in with the lower water levels and this Common Sandpiper didn't last long! It was a good encounter whilst it lasted!
Wide awake and hungry!
Plenty of tasty morsels in the shallows and mud!
A tempting feast on the grassy bank?
Identity crisis? Sandpipers are resourceful and despite the sting in the tail.....
this bee went down a treat!
And bits came up again in the form of a pellet :-)
A quick snooze and then onwards North.....
The Med Gull was still in and out plus a Little Ringed Plover. Oh and a Redshank was also present in the shallows!
