Day one in Norfolk couldn't have got to a better start with the Western Sandpiper still showing at Cley. It took the best part of an hour on site before I got tickable views by sticking out in Daukes hide!
Eventually the Dunlin flock flew nearer with the Western in tow.....

This is probably the best image showing the detail of the line of rufous scapulars....

Even managed a flight shot or two, sadly only head on (Oh for an upperwing shot!)
