Wall Farm - Waders and Wildfowl

If there's a superb venue rather than a blot on the farming landscape right now, it has to be Wall Farm! Jack Edge has already created some wonderful habitat for birds and other wildlife and right now the star location for waders in Shropshire seems to be the newly 'created' flooded fields on the opposite side of the road to the 'wetland'.

Counts of up to 19 Ringed Plover, 7 Dunlin, 7 LRPs, 2 Ruff, 1 Common Sandpiper and 1 Black-tailed Godwit already have indicated the potential....

Here's a few Ringies and Dunlin in one frame.....

The long staying female Garganey....

And so far as Gadwall are concerned - love is in the air!

Keep it up Jack - and lets hope for exciting wader to drop in?
