Another day on St Mary’s and all the birds grabbing my
attention were in the Porthcressa area. These included two new ones for the
trip – Merlin and Rose-coloured Starling, the former too fast and gone, the
latter too far and flighty!
The only bird performing and it really was a stunner was the
Wryneck, initially in the small quarry then frequenting the playground. Here’s
