
All the Whixall demons were exorcised and a Great Grey Shrike became a reality after 30 minutes or so of searching. The bird was mainly confined to the top of the slope at the East end. It showed well despite being a bit flighty, the obligatory twigs interfering with striking poses. A few pictures were managed, in between rain, hail snow and sleet, it was that kind of day!




The sun even put in a brief appearance.....


Job done, return to Shropshire beckoned - slowly........
