Blakeney Freshmarsh - Red-backed Shrike

Target bird number one, successfully found today was Red-backed Shrike (263) and the Blakeney freshmarsh juvenile seemed to be the best bet? There was no-one there on arrival but it didn't take long to find it from the sea wall, sadly into the light!

There seemed little point in pursuing images here, so I crossed over to the far side of the pool. It came closer....

And closer still!

Not a lot of variety possible, just slightly different angles as it surveyed the scene for another bee or hawker to catch?

Can't seem to pick a favourite!

I would have carried on but there was some pressing news - a reported Western Bonelli's Warbler just down the road at Kelling.....
