It was keeping quite close to the bank too......

Just about the only action was wingflapping!
But then a tasty meal in the form of a dead fish caqme on the scene!
Which also seemed to attract this Coot......
It looked like they were getting on famously?
Until the Coot reverted to type!
And the Kittiwake paddled towards me!
Now that is a nice bird to start the year!
