Blashford Lakes - Brambling

The woodland hide at Blashford lakes is a bit of an enigma. It's a circular hide with one window on the side (relative to the viewing area) that opens - the rest is just panes of glass! What is the point I wonder- why not normal hide windows all around?

The feeders were pretty busy and up to four Brambling were present

Plenty of 'cluttered' opportunities on the ground....

When quick enough, more pleasing images on a branch prior to feeding!

Less twiggy distarction on this one.....

One way to get into the object of interest is to crop closer!

A quizzical expression always helps :-)

Redpolls next......
