Venus Pool - Common Snipe

Returning from Titterstone Clee, Pole Cott held a few Meadow Pipits, male Reed Bunting and a pair of Stonechat. One of the Longnor Dippers was prsent and a Blackcap was singing nearby.

Venus Pool added a couple of County year ticks with Willow Warbler near the causeway and my first Swallow through with a few Sand Martins....

Common Snipe have been bit sparse this Winter but there were two showing quite close to the hide......

I did say two :-)

and they are more than happy to swim.....

Waders moving through before long? The low water conditions mean awsome muddy margins are waiting for them.....
