At least it was still present, initially on the apex of the roof, catching insects.
Eventually the light levels dropped and whilst the bird did come closer, it was never close or low enough to do justice to such a little cracker!

Hereford - Cathedral Blackstart
A quick hop into the town centre with fingers crossed. A male Black Redstart had been on and around the Cathedral for well over a week now, it was sometimes obliging in a shrub near the West door - but not today!
At least it was still present, initially on the apex of the roof, catching insects.
Eventually the light levels dropped and whilst the bird did come closer, it was never close or low enough to do justice to such a little cracker!
