The back problem seems to be well on the way to recovery? I haven't really had a work out carrying the gear however, grounded by a particularly nasty throat infection which, touch wood, after two weeks of coughing and spluttering is also improving.
Been doing more 'catch up' with a few more garden birds in New England, like this Red-bellied Woodpecker, which you can find...... here
Another batch of Farnes images too from June here, Grey Seal, Kittiwake, Fulmar, Razorbill oh and a pair of shag having one!
I love this image :-)
Yeah, I know...... months behind but getting there!

Farne Islands timewarp - Tern warfare
Sorry there's been no posts recently folks. Apart from the local scene producing nowt of note, the back problem was replaced by a dire throat infection!
Never mind, I spent most of yesterday sorting images from my visit to the Farnes in June, still nowhere near completing this! Here's a couple of 'tasters' - follow this quick link to Arctic Warfare on 18th June.....

Fantasy birding - back to New England
The bird drought continues locally and water levels are scuppering any chance of a wader dropping in at VP My garden is looking lovely though and lots of plants have been sorted :-) And .....
How about this then - male Rose-breasted Grosbeak!
Now that I have your attention :-) Don't worry, I've been catching up with some image sorting - May 17th to be precise in a garden in New England. Looking at all the vagrants turning up in Ireland, (Belted Kingfisher, Eastern Kingbird etc) who's to say we won't be in with a chance of one of these??)
If you want to see more of the Grosbeak plus a few more of those rather attractive garden birds, click on the link below.....
Quick link....
Assuming the drought continues, more of the same to follow. Which reminds me I have about 20Gb of Farnes / Puffins to sort as well !!
